Use City online services book an appointment

12 February 2026

Customers and motorists are encouraged to make use of convenient online payment and motor licence renewal options. They are also urged to book ahead of visiting a customer office to help make their visit quick and easy. Online bookings at certain offices can be made here: https://bookings.capetown.gov.za/.

‘We encourage customers to make use of our online payment options and booking service for account and vehicle licensing matters. Customers are urged to visit our website for more details. Using the City’s online options makes it simple to do business with the City. The SMS you receive about vehicle licence renewal contains a link to the online booking system. Motorists can click the link, book an appointment and receive a reference number within minutes. The reference number enables motorists to be assisted at a dedicated counter, cutting down on time spent queuing.

‘We also encourage residents to pay their accounts online via eServices. Account payments are important to keep service delivery going and we thank each customer and ratepayer for their payments,’ said the Mayoral Committee Member for Finance, Councillor Siseko Mbandezi.

Choose the simple option:

  • Register for eServices
  • Renew licences online
  • Pay accounts via online payment options
  • Book an appointment via the City’s website to reduce waiting times in the Customer Interaction Centres
  • Make use of the City’s first drive-through vehicle disc renewal facility in Brackenfell
  • Phone ahead to confirm what documents are required for a particular transaction
